Missions

The missions offer a unique spiritual experience. Venturing themselves by places distant and remote, the missionaries have the opportunity to share their catholic faith with others. It is an activity that requires of each missionary a certain degree of spiritual maturity and an attitude of adventure.

The encounter of the missionaries with the local villagers is always of great mutual enrichment. The welcome and generous attitude of the locals towards the missionaries are a distinctive characteristic that facilitate much the cultural interchange. The sharing of faith, in the middle of dramatic and remote natural environments, touch the hearts of all participants.

Among the activities of the missions are: rosaries, catechesis for children, young people and adults, via crucis, masses and liturgies, games and songs. In addition, there are often opportunities for hikes and visits to towns and the surrounding wilderness.

The missions can last from one week to 20 days depending of each group and circumstances. CREATIO is in charge of all the logistics and transports. Each group can choose its destiny among the possible options where we do mission work.

The missionaries must be prepared for a demanding but at the same time a very rewarding experience. Each participant must first be interviewed by a member of CREATIO or be recommended to participate in the missions. Please contact yourself with your local centre.

Missionary for a Year

There is also the possibility to make a year long Missionary commitment. This involves a prior training period and several months engaged in missionary activity. So far this program is offered in the mountains of Peru and is organized by the Christian Life Movement.
